WEED’D – RUMBLE (WIP)

This is probably the project we feel closest to, because before it was ever a job, it was a true adventure.

Weed’d, an Italian brand that creates objects for cannabis consumption designed by some of the best international talents, reached out to us to tell their story. A powerful concept, overturning the stigma around cannabis through design, turning something often looked at with suspicion into a symbol of culture and freedom.

When we met Andrea and Stefano, the minds behind Weed’d, it was immediately clear we had to do something together. Two incredible people, full of ideas and with a vision that left us inspired and even more eager to grow.

For this project, we decided to push ourselves — literally — beyond borders: we flew to New York and self-produced everything there, without contacts or contracts, driven purely by our desire to do things right. From casting to locations, down to the last coffee cup, everything was in our hands. It was an adventure made of subway runs, miles walked through the city, and that special adrenaline you feel when you’re living something you’ve always dreamed about.

To direct this 16mm film documentary, we brought on board not just a director, but first and foremost a friend: Laurence Hills, a brilliant English talent who we knew would understand exactly what we were after. With Laurie, it was an explosion of creativity, sharing ideas, laughing, talking until late into the night… and maybe a few beers.

New York, with its endless streets and sunsets pouring between skyscrapers, felt like stepping into a parallel universe for us young people who still dream wide awake. We didn’t just bring home a project; we brought back an experience that changed us and reminded us why we do this job: to tell stories that look like us and make us feel alive.
